{"id":4580,"date":"2017-05-22T13:55:39","date_gmt":"2017-05-22T11:55:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.egotimes.com\/?p=4580"},"modified":"2017-05-22T15:14:36","modified_gmt":"2017-05-22T13:14:36","slug":"lovecraft-tales-a-journey-into-pure-horror","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.egotimes.com\/en\/lovecraft-tales-a-journey-into-pure-horror\/","title":{"rendered":"Lovecraft Tales: a Journey into Pure Horror"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em>Lovecraft Tales<\/em> is a play inspired by the work of Howard Philipps Lovecraft, a writer whose fame is not inferior to that of Edgar Allan Poe.<\/h2>\n<p>Dramatization and direction of the show is by <strong>Mary Ferrara<\/strong> and takes place at <strong>Cappella Orsini<\/strong>, a beautiful church in the center of Rome.<\/p>\n<p>Lovecraft is one of the greatest horror writer of the Twentieth Century: his tales evoke gloomy atmospheres, but the ability of the writer is to let your imagination roam, rather than describing in detail features, objects and characthers as Edgar Allan Poe does.<\/p>\n<p>In Mary Ferrara\u2019s version, the two main characters, Alexander (<strong>Andrea Fam\u00e0<\/strong>\/<strong>Alessio Chiodini<\/strong>) and Alice Lee (<strong>Silvia Magazz\u00f9<\/strong>) explore the amazing and scary world of imagination, through the random meeting of their lives.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>As I explored this genre I have not only learned to appreciate it, but I have been given the possibility to imagine it for the theatre, mixing fiction and drama with the \u2018fil rouge\u2019 of a story without distorting any of them.
