CSIO Rome 2025: Show Jumping Excellence Returns to Piazza di Siena

From May 21 to 25, 2025, the iconic Piazza di Siena in Rome’s Villa Borghese will once again become the global stage for elite equestrian sport. The 92nd edition of the CSIO Rome – Master d’Inzeo promises to deliver five days of top-level show jumping, hosting over 450 riders from 16 countries and 600 horses. As part of the prestigious Rolex Series, this free-to-attend event is not only a celebration of athletic excellence, but also of Rome’s deep connection with tradition, beauty, and international sporting culture.

The Nations and the Riders

The Nations Cup Intesa Sanpaolo of CSIO Rome, held on Friday, May 23, will feature teams from ten of the world’s top show jumping nations, including the USA, Germany, Great Britain, and Italy, which will be represented by Giulia Martinengo Marquet, Emanuele Gaudiano, Giacomo Casadei, and Paolo Paini. An additional 22 Italian riders will compete individually. The overall prize pool exceeds €1 million, with €500,000 awarded in the Rolex Grand Prix of Rome, scheduled for Sunday, May 25.

More than a Competition

Free and open to the public, the CSIO combines elite sport with cultural heritage in a truly iconic location. Events will unfold not only in the Piazza di Siena arena but also in the neighboring Galoppatoio with national competitions and a polo tournament. The event is organized by FISE (Italian Federation of Equestrian Sports) and Sport e Salute, with strong institutional support from the City of Rome, Regione Lazio, and the Italian Government.

At the official presentation on March 27, held in the grassy arena of Piazza di Siena, several key figures underscored the event’s cultural and sporting value. Among them:
